London, England: The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC), also known as the All-England Club,[1] based at Aorangi Park, Wimbledon, London, England, is a private members club. It is best known as the venue for the Wimbledon Championships, the only Grand Slam tennis event still held on grass. Initially an amateur event that occupied club members and their friends for a few days each summer, the championships have become far more prominent than the club itself. However, it still operates as a members tennis club, with many courts in use all year round.
The club will be the venue for the tennis competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Aquatics Centre |
London, England: The London Aquatics Centre is an indoor facility with two 50 metre swimming pools and a 25 metre diving pool, which will be one of the main venues of the London 2012 Summer Olympics and the London 2012 Summer Paralympics.
It was designed by Pritzker Prize winning architect Zaha Hadid in 2004 before London won the bid. The centre is located in the Olympic Park at Stratford in east London. With its distinctive architecture and curved roof, it will be the first venue visitors see upon entering the Olympic Park.
During the Games it will have a capacity of 17,500, which will be reduced to 2,500 after the Games.

London's Olympic bid proposed that there would be four arenas in the Olympic Park, but the revised masterplan published in 2006 reduced this to three, with the volleyball matches being moved to Earls Court Exhibition Centre. The fencing arena was also cancelled, and the fencing will now take place at ExCeL.
The Basketball Arena will have 12,000 seats for Olympic basketball and the semi-finals and finals of the Olympic handball, and 10,000 for Paralympic wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby. The arena will also be used as a holding area for athletes during the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the games. Concept designs were agreed in June 2008 and a planning application is due to be submitted in November 2008.[dated info] It will be a temporary venue, and the largest built for any Games, and it is hoped that it will be reassembled elsewhere in the UK after the games.

London, England: The London Velopark is a cycling centre which was built in Leyton in east London, United Kingdom. It will serve as one of the 'Big Five' permanent Olympic and Paralympic venues for the 2012 Games. The Velopark is situated at the northern end of London's Olympic Park. The Velopark features a Velodrome and BMX racing track, which will be used for the Games as well as having a one mile (1.6 km) road racing course and a mountain bike track. The park replaces the Eastway Cycle Circuit which was demolished to make way for it. The facilities built for the Olympics were constructed between 2009 and 2011. The first event to be held in the Velopark was the London round of the 2011 UCI Supercross BMX World Cup series.

Coventry, England: The Ricoh Arena (commonly known as The Ricoh), home to Coventry City F.C., is a stadium complex situated in the Rowleys Green district of the city of Coventry, England containing a 32,609 seater football stadium, a 6,000 square-metre exhibition hall, a hotel, a leisure club, and a casino. The site is also home to Arena Park Shopping Centre containing one of the largest Tesco Extra hypermarkets. The site was previously home to the Foleshill gasworks. It was announced on 3 June 2010 that the Arena would be one of the regional host stadia for the 2012 Summer Olympics. Since corporate sponsorship on venue names is prohibited, it will be renamed City of Coventry Stadium for the duration of the Games.

The name of the circuit may derive from the Gaelic Brondehach (bron meaning "wooded slope" and hach meaning "forest entrance").
Dorney Lake (also known as Eton College Rowing Centre) is a purpose-built rowing lake in the United Kingdom. It is located at grid reference SU929779 near the village of Dorney, Buckinghamshire, and near the towns of Windsor and Eton, close to the River Thames. The lake is privately owned and financed by Eton College, who have spent £17 million developing it. Additional grants, totalling £500,000, were obtained from Sport England, UK Sport, the DCMS and SEEDA in order to build the lake's finish tower. The project took over 10 years until completion in 2006.[1] Although it is primarily for use by the school, the facilities are hired out for rowing, as well as for canoeing, dragon boating and triathlon training.
The lake will be used as the 2012 Summer Olympic venue for rowing and canoe sprint (the whitewater events will take place at Lee Valley White Water Centre in Hertfordshire), and as the 2012 Summer Paralympic venue for rowing. This will involve enhancing the existing facilities to include 20,000 seats for Olympic spectators; most of these seats will be temporary. Construction began in October 2009 of enhancements to Dorney Lake, including a new cut-through between the competition lake and the return lane, a new bridge and an upgraded access road, funded by the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA).[2] The Olympics venue is officially termed Eton Dorney.

Marathon Course |
London, England: The 2012 Olympic Marathon Course will be used for both the men's and women's marathon races at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. The course will circuit much of central London, starting and finishing in the Mall.
The route finally announced in October 2010 will start in The Mall, about 100 m from the Victoria Memorial and will have four laps, finishing half-way along The Mall. Much of the route will be within the narrow streets of the City of London passing a number of landmarks there including St Paul's Cathedral, The Guildhall and even passing through Leadenhall Market. The first lap will be 3.571 km in length and the other three will be 12.875 km in length.

It will have two venues for the Olympic hockey competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics with capacities of 15,000 and 5,000 respectively, and venues for the Paralympic football seven-a-side and football five-a-side competitions at the 2012 Summer Paralympics. London, England: The water polo tournaments at the 2012 Olympics in London are scheduled to be held at the London 2012 Water Polo Arena designed by David Morley Architects in the Olympic Park from 29 July to 12 August. The venue will hold 5,000 spectators during water polo matches. Twelve teams will compete in the men's tournament and eight teams in the women's tournament.
